When handling your information, TheLifeSigns may be acting as both a Controller and a Processor as those terms are defined under the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

TheLifeSigns takes user privacy seriously. This Policy describes how we handle information collected in relation to access and use of TheLifeSigns.com (the 'Site'). Information About Your Accounts on Third-Party Services

TheLifeSigns provides the ability to log in to the Service using your Google account. If you authenticate yourself using this service, you grant us access to your email address, and, if available, your name, photo, and username associated with them. We do not receive your password.

When you contact via email, you may be provide us, in addition to the content of your message, your name and email address and any information you choose to provide us in relation to your inquiry. Submitting the Personal Information of others

When you submit the Personal Information from others (Monitored persons, or buddies), you are responsible for informing them about TheLifeSigns, and for obtaining any necessary consent or authority from them. You may also choose to validate their email address through TheLifeSigns. We will send them a invitation email to the address you provide. Please ensure that you only submit email addresses of individuals with whom you have a relationship and who would want to receive the message.

Information Posted on TheLifeSigns (User content)

Users can create ‘dashboards’ where they can create teams consisting of the person to be monitored and buddies. These dashboards also contain the email sending schedules and information what should be done in case the monitored person no longer responds to life signs. If you are contributing to a dashboards, we advise you to exercise caution when sharing personal information regardless of the privacy level. The creator of a dashboard can add buddies at any time. Links to the website in emails have another catch. Since a link is a combination of characters, it is theoretically possible for someone to access a secret by guessing its link, although this chance is extremely low.

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect information, including personal information, about you and how you use the Service. This information is necessary for the adequate performance and, to enable us to comply with legal obligations and given our legitimate interest in being able to provide and improve the Service.
